Our Week

Monday was Maggie's birthday, but since we celebrated it the day before, it seemed like any other day.
Tuesday I got some new leather stamps in the mail.  I just couldn't wait to try them out, so I decided to make a belt.  It's not finished yet, but I'm liking the stamps :)
Wednesday was apparently boring because I don't remember doing anything.
Thursday it snowed :-/  I'm not ready for winter.  It's not uncommon for us to get snow the first week of October, but this year it seems like it went straight from summer to winter.  Fall is my favorite season and I'm feeling a little ripped off!
Friday we brought my mare back to the vet to get her preg checked again to make sure everything was still going well.  She's not pregnant anymore :-/  We have a few more options to explore come spring, but I'm starting to lose hope that we'll ever get a baby from her.
Saturday we hung out as a family and did some home repairs.  I picked the soybeans out of my garden and we ate them with supper.  They were on the small side, but I also starved them of sunlight on accident so they didn't have the optimal growing conditions.  I also picked a new variety of melon that I grew called a sapomiel melon.  It looked like a tiny oval watermelon on the outside, and on the inside it looked like a cucumber.  It tasted mostly like a honeydew, with a hint of cucumber...maybe just because it looked so much like a cucumber.  Weird combo, right?  I kept eating it though, so I guess it wasn't too gross.  My tomatoes are surprisingly hardy...I've never covered them through frost or snow and they're still going strong.
Today we went to church, took Sunday naps, went for a pretty fall drive, and had down time.  Sundays are such a great day!
