This cake was for a sod farmer in our ward. I tried and tried to think of something a little more creative, but I decided against every idea because I thought they would make the cake look too childish for a grown man. So I landed on replicating a sod farm with the usual "happy birthday" on top. The soil is Oreo crumbs and the grass is buttercream icing. I figured it might not be the most exciting cake I've ever made, but it should be one of the tastiest :) How can you go wrong with chocolate cake topped with chocolate frosting and Oreo crumbs?
