There, I said it. Before you agree with me though, please let me clarify. I don't mean it in the way that phrase is normally intended. I actually consider myself pretty low-maintenance, especially in the fashion department. (Jonathan might disagree, but he's not the one blogging :) ) What I really mean is that I can't stop collecting fabric. It's a sickness really. I like sewing and quilting so If I find fabric on sale for a good price I usually can't refrain from buying at least a yard, even if I don't have a specific plan in mind for it.
In my defense I do eventually find something to do with the fabric. Usually it goes in quilt squares or some sort of craft project. Sometimes I make dresses for Maggie or gifts for other people. One time I made western dinner napkins with material that had horses and spurs printed on it. Once in a while it's used for something completely unusual (like a tent I just made for Maggie's porta-crib so she can't climb out of it anymore).
Today (and yesterday and the day before) my house is in shambles because of this sickness. I REALLY should be folding laundry right now. Instead I've been sewing new curtains, maternity clothes, and a stinkin' tent! All because I keep finding good fabric for just $1 a yard.
I really better clean the house soon or Jonathan might send me out to the doghouse with Duke.
I feel better now that I got that off my chest. I'd feel a lot better if the laundry was folded and the house was clean. I'm off to do it now...Duke's house is not very comfortable :)
Goodbye.
