We're Having a...

(Move your mouse over the image to find out. Then you can scroll down to find out more.)

Our ultrasound went well and we're ecstatic to have a little boy! I think Maggie will have fun with a little brother.

The image above is of the baby sucking his thumb. When the doctor froze the image to print it the baby had moved a little...so his thumb sucking is not as clear in the picture as it was during the actual ultrasound. I didn't feel it was appropriate to share the other image that confirmed the gender...I'll just say it was a lot more obvious than the thumb sucking in the picture above. Jonathan and I both knew the verdict before the doctor told us.

Since I know you're wondering, we like the name Layne/Lane, but are having some disagreements on the spelling :) Which spelling do you like better? We haven't decided on or even discussed a middle name, though I think Enniss has a nice ring to it. (Enniss is a family name from a few generations back).

Congratulations! I always felt so blessed to get one of each right off the bat -- and it's great to experience boys and girls -- so enjoy all of it! love, Johnna

P.S. I like Lane -- it looks a little more manly to me.

(I also like Zane --except for the part where he would always be last on any alphabetized list)

Oooh, I like the name Lane/Layne. It's actually one of the few boy names that Shane and I can agree on. I actually used the spelling Layne for a character in my novel. But good luck on choosing!
