Today our baby girl is 9 months old.
9 months ago we were at the hospital anticipating the arrival of our firstborn. Anxious. Excited. Nervous. Thrilled. Curious. Overwhelmed. Then speechless when a little miracle was placed in our arms and we officially became Daddy and Mommy. Not just for a day, or even a week, but for the rest of eternity. We love her more than we ever thought possible.
So here are a few facts and stats about our precious little Maggie.
She is almost walking. She pulls herself up and tries to walk along furniture.
She likes to clap her hands and she'll give you five.
She likes to play Hide and Go Seek. I crawl into another room and hide and she comes and finds me. She gets the biggest smile on her face when she discovers me.
She now goes to bed between 8:00 and 8:30. It has done wonders on the bags below my eyes :)She was doing really well going to bed at 7:00 until recently. Then she was waking up at 5:30 every morning.
Her head circumference is in the 50th percentile. She's in the 20th for weight and the 6th for height. She weighs 15 pounds 15 ounces.
She loves to share Otter-Pops with me. Probably not the healthiest snack, but it's cool and refreshing on a summer day.
She's only been sick once and even then she was happy and content with life.
She is not a big fan of fruits, but she loves vegetables. Actually, her favorite foods are what we have come to call "fruitables". You know, vegetables that are technically fruit. Or in other words, fruit that tastes like a vegetable. Squash is her all time favorite fruitable.
She still only has two bottom teeth.
She's hoping you all have a safe and fun Independence Day!
