First of all I went to the doctor again today. I don't have a major update, and I'm not sure this blog is the best place to post my gynecological information, so I'll refrain from being too technical and descriptive. She is still head down and things are still looking good. I was having a lot of contractions yesterday...maybe just Braxton Hicks, but they were uncomfortable and somewhat painful so I expected to be a little closer to delivery. Unfortunately, there aren't any major signs that my delivery is just around the corner. Probably still a few weeks. I am 37 weeks and two days...I guess that makes me full term. Also, the doctor told me to come back in a week, "unless you go into labor, then don't wait that long." So I guess it's still possible :o) Until then I'll keep passing the time.
Speaking of passing the time...Julieanne and Lori gave me copies of the Stephenie Meyer books
Twilight and
New Moon for my birthday. They are the first two books out of a four book series. Their goal was to help me pass the time this last little bit of pregnancy. Honestly I was very skeptical about them. Come on, a book about vampire romance? That is definately not my type of reading. Plus I felt I could judge these books by the cover--they seemed so dark. None the less, I felt a little obligated to read them since they were a gift, I was curious just
how dark they could be since Meyer is a BYU graduate, and I also wanted to read them just to prove that I was right about not liking them. I WAS WRONG! I have had the books for less than a week now. The first is 498 pages and the second is 561 and I am finished with both. Since I was in the wrath of uncomfortable contractions yesterday I just vegged on the couch all day and read. Now I can't get my hands on the third book
Eclipse and I am going crazy. I tried the school library and I was fifth in line if I reserved it...that would put me to December before I got it. I tried Wal-mart, but I didn't want to pay $15. I doubted our library would have it since it's pretty small, but I was happily surprised to find out that they have some copies. Unfortunately they are all checked out, but I am next in line and it was due back yesterday. It can't be too long before I am reading again :-)

So in case you're curious, they have helped pass the time, but apparently I can't pace myself so they probably won't end up passing as much time as intended. I don't think I've ever read a book so fast in my life.
Oh, one more thing. I came across this on my friend's blog. If you want something to entertain yourself with go to
http://www.yearbookyourself.com/. Jonathan didn't see the humor in it so I respected his wishes of not posting his pictures even though I thought they were hilarious!

hahaha those pics are so funny! Also, I LOVE the twilight series. I borrowed the first from a library and ended up reading all four (about 2400 pages) in Nine days, I have a feeling that if you could get your hands on the third and fourth you would do the same!!! AWESOME BOOKS. Jill and Kassi actually recommended them to me.
um, I LOVE the twilight series. We actually live pretty close to Forks and La Push, and I am tempted to take a ride out there and see if I can spot a werewolf! I am glad you have something to pass the time, those last few weeks can be pretty uncomfortable! good luck getting the next book, i think that one is one of my favorites!
Love the pictures. I am going there right now to play with my pictures! Something tells me though that mine will look a lot like yours since I thought you looked like me in some of them! :)
Hey! I found a book I really think you would enjoy. It is about an English Vetrinary Doctor in the 1920's. He tells all his stories of caring for animals on the farms around him while trying to pass the time during the war. It's really great reading. It is called "All Things Wise and Wonderful" by James Herriot
Thanks Kristy...I haven't read that one yet, but I love James Herriot. He has a series of books and the first one is All Creatures Great and Small (I am still reading that one.) He is a great writer!
