And if you want an update (it might help you guess)...Yesterday's appointment went well. I was their first appointment in the morning. The nurse took my weight and blood pressure and then put me in the room to wait. It seemed like I was in there forever and I wondered if they forgot about me. Then finally a nurse came back in and asked if anyone had told me that my doctor had left to deliver a baby at the hospital. Hmmmph, I had not been told, but oh well. So the nurse practitioner checked me instead. 8 more centimeters to go and she's still head down:o) Then I asked if I should come back in a week again and she said yes, "except the doctor will be out of town until the 29th. What do you usually do about your appointments when he's out of town?" Hmmmph again! My doctor will be out of town on my due date...splendid! So the nurse is going to see me again next week. That will be my last appointment before my due date, which is weird that I won't even see my doctor the last two appointments before my due date (and maybe not even on my delivery date--who knows). My doctor has a service mission call type thing so he is out of town about 8 times a year. He travels to third world countries and teaches the doctors there how to deliver babies. So at least he's out of town for a good purpose, right? So now I'd prefer if she comes tomorrow before he goes out of town (fat chance), or not until after the 29th. I have met my back-up doctor once and he's nice, so it won't be the end of the world if he had to deliver me. So here's my guess:
