It rained a few days before Christmas. When we went out to feed, all the cows were sopping wet, and the bales that got loaded that day were really dry and fine. There's one cow that likes to follow right alongside the trailer and the hay always ends up falling on top of her. The wet cow in combination with the dry alfalfa created quite the sight :) Have you ever seen a green cow?
We kept Christmas pretty simple and low key this year. Jonathan got towing mirrors for his truck; something that he's wanted a really long time. Other than that, we mostly got needs (new coats, shoes, backpack, etc.) with a few wants mixed in.
My favorite present that we gave to the kids was a big announcement in the form of a book. We sent them on a little scavenger hunt to find their last present. It took them awhile to realize exactly what the announcement meant to them. They kept thinking that the new baby mom would be holding meant they were getting a new cousin, not a new sibling. That's right, we're expecting again. My due date is July 6th.
The other best present was from Mother Nature. It finally snowed and we had a white Christmas. The kids enjoyed playing in it, especially when we attempted to turn Duke into a sled dog :)
