This morning I had Lane in his swing, Maggie was watching PBS Kids, and I was working on the last of the Super Saturday stuff. When I looked up to check on them, I noticed that Maggie had decided to accessorize her kid brother with one of her hair clips. I guess every little brother has to put up with this at some point. Yesterday Lane was looking into my eyes and I was baby talking to him. He smiled. I thought it was a fluke coincidence since babies aren't suppose to be able to real smile until six weeks of age. So I baby talked a little more and he looked at me and smiled again. He's two weeks ahead of his smiling schedule, but hey, I'll take it :)
Lane has "baby acne" something fierce! I hope this is not an indication of what he has in store for him during his teenage years.

I am sure you have heard this too but I hear all the time "the first has to survive the parents and the rest have to survive the siblings." He does look sweet sleeping there though--bow and all!
Hopefully things will get better. Parker was such a good baby too so I won't know what to do if I get a fussy one next. You're such a good mom, you have two lucky kids.
