Random Ramblings

We are still hunting for a house. Neither of us had any idea it would be this stressful, but let's face it...this is a HUGE (not to mention expensive) life changing decision. The last several nights Jonathan has caught me talking in my sleep or I vividly remember dreaming about closing costs, down payments, etc. I never talk in my sleep. I can't seem to clear my mind. Hopefully soon we'll have some news. This has definitely been a learning experience though. For example, don't ever trust pictures of the house on the Internet. Every house we thought we'd love because of the pictures has been a house that we ended up having no interest in.

On a less stressful note, my ring is finally back in perfect condition. I guess the fifth try's the charm :)

We took a nice break over Memorial Day Weekend before Jonathan started his new job. We went and visited his family. It is so pretty and relaxing down there. I think it was exactly what we needed. Maggie seemed to have fun during the day, but she was not happy at night. While we were there Daddy gave her her first taste of a chocolate Creamy. She liked that, but probably mostly because the cold felt good on her sore gums. She also nibbled on watermelon and carrots. Since she liked the watermelon so much I bought one when we got home. I mashed up a piece for her and she had no interest in it anymore. Again, it was probably just the cold rubbing on her gums that she liked, not necesarilly the taste.
Jonathan's new job is going well. The other day he was talking about his office and I was completely shocked. I didn't even know he was going to get his own office. It's nice to have him home earlier and honestly it's a little weird (but nice) having him home later in the morning. I am just so used to him being out the door by six and I keep thinking he's going to be late. Now he leaves at a quarter to eight, which gives him plenty of time to play with our little early bird in the morning.
Maggie is trying so hard to crawl. she gets up on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth. She can do an army crawl with her arms, but it's not very fast. She really loves dogs. Anytime we see a dog she smiles, and if the dog comes up to her she starts giggling. She is still teething. She still only has the two teeth, but I think she has six on the way. Poor thing.

Maggie is going to get a lot of new cousins this year. Two of my sisters and two of our sisters-in-law are pregnant. There will be three cousins born on my side, and two on Jonathan's side. You may wonder how that all adds up since there's only four pregnancies in the family. You guessed it, one is expecting twins. We're so excited for these new little ones.

That's it folks. Hopefully next time we'll have exciting news about a house.

No, our sister-in-law on Jonathan's side is having twins. Julieanne is having a boy, Kristal is having a boy, and Lisa is having a girl.

James loves watermelon too. I think for the same reasons. I bought one of those mesh bags that look like a huge pacifier that you can put food in. He loves it. We can put fruit, ice, meat, whatever in it and he can suck and chew on it. Maggie might like it especially with the ice. It seems to numb the teething process a bit.

I can't believe how big Maggie is getting!! She's such a cutie! How do you get all the cute bows in her hair. Maddie pulls hers out and Sade won't ever sit long enough for me to get them in. Hope all goes well with the house hunt!
