Here it is. The object that has been taking up most of my time lately. I am pretty happy with how it turned out. Kim made a beautiful bride and she said the cake was everything she wanted. The layers of cake were torted with red velvet and white cake, but I don't have a picture of the inside.
I couldn't figure out what the put the cake on and then I got a brilliant idea...with a little help from food network. I made a giant piece of red hard candy, which I molded in a large flower shaped cake pan. When it cooled it looked just like a big red glass flower. You can't really see it in the picture, but it was the perfect base for the cake.
So there you have it, wedding cake number 4 :) I am getting a little more comfortable with these, but I still get stressed over some aspects--especially transporting the cake. Maybe with time I will have all of the jitters worked out of me.

Good Job Janessa! You can make mine whenever I get married! First, I need a hubby. And...let me know when you are in town! I live like 2 blocks away from your parents!
Like I said, you're amazing. The cake turned out great. I'm sure had we been up there this weekend we would have distracted you from creating something as beautiful as this! You have a talent for this. Keep up the craigslist postings and if you want to come down for the big "lego" party next month then I will be more than happy to have you help with the cake! ;)
Very amazing!!! you are so inspiring. How did you learn all these cake skills? Ace of Cakes? You'll have to teach me some of those skills. It looks so fun to make. You are incredible.
