Rice Cereal = Yuck!

We decided to give Maggie a taste of rice cereal. We don't think she likes it, but you can decide for yourself.

She cracks me up! my favorite part is when she shakes her fists in disgust...I do the same thing when I eat something gross.

The doctor forgot to tell me what percentile she's in and I forgot to ask, but she now weighs 13 pounds 5 ounces and she's 23.5 inches long. She did NOT like her shots. She hardly cried when she got her 2 month shots. This time was a different story. I think she screamed for 15 minutes straight. She started crying when the nurse was giving her the rota/corona virus drops. The nurse told me that most babies like the flavor of the drops, but Maggie must have remembered from the time previously what was coming next :) Other than that though she was a good sport. She didn't get a fever or anything afterward and she is still sleeping well.

Today when I checked on her during her nap this is what I found:
Poor thing! She must have fallen asleep while she was sucking on her hand and then her upper lip dried onto her sleeve. I didn't know if I should peel it off, but I didn't want to wake her up so I just took a picture and left it. Am I a mean mom? I'm sure it hurt when it finally came off, but she still smiled at me when she woke up, so I guess I'm forgiven.

Janessa she is adorable. I love her bib in the video. I am going to start Marc soon and I hope he likes it. I am hoping that it helps him not want to eat all the time. I was going to ask how shots went, but you already answered that one. It's fun to see Maggie growing up.

She is so cute! And seriously Myles HATED the rice cereal too, until someone told us to use apple juice instead of water. It worked wonders, plus apple juice is really good to help them not get constipated! Anyway, you are definitely not a mean mom, I would have left her sleeve too!

That is the cutest thing I have seen in a long time. She does the little shiver that indicates how bad it is. So cute. She will probably like it in time. A tip a mom gave me if you absolutely can't get her to eat it is maybe mix it with half apple juice half water. I wouldn't have thought to do that. I also didn't have any milk at that point in time--my milk. I am not telling you what to do I am just passing along a tip that I wouldn't have thought to do.
