Here I Am Again.

Spring is a busy busy time around here!  I am finally coming up for air (and finding the time and energy to update everyone on our happenings). Busy is good though, and I couldn't love my life and little family more! I'm in a hurry to get this up, so that it actually WILL get updated, so please excuse any typos and the very brief descriptions :)

So here we go again. Since last time...

We celebrated Valentine's Day (and St. Patrick's, and Easter)
We bought a little herd of our own :)  Lots of smiles here about that.  We are now the proud owners of 11 cows.
 We found a tiny antler.
Maggie made it into Loosli's bull sale catalog.
We traveled and attended a few bull sales.

 We did some chores.

The kids got excited that the new tractor has a buddy seat.
I inherited a free piano. (More smiles around here!)
Some lucky kids got to farm with their dad.
 We found more antlers.
Maggie learned to ride without training wheels.  That's ALL she wants to do every day now.
 Our cows started calving.
I was left in charge of the cows while Jonathan farmed during the day.  Thankfully there were no major problems, but I did have to rescue a few calves...do you see this one stuck behind the stack of panels?
 We goofed off...

 and played...
and made some messes. (This was after monitoring a heifer calve, then rescuing one of the calves from a predicament being on the wrong side of the fence and not being able to get back to his momma.  We got home late enough that I declared it a cold cereal night, at which point, in Lane's haste to bring the Cheerios to the table, he accidentally scattered them from here to Timbuktu.)
Hogle Zoo called our name on a sunshiney day.

I made a super hero cake for a little boy.
Lane approached his trail mix as if its definition was: an obstacle course of m&m's. (In other words, he picked out all the nuts and raisins and only ate the chocolate.)
We attempted to fly a kite.
Our cats had kittens and we found one of them out of hiding.  I have no idea how many more there are :-/ Maybe I'm an irresponsible cat owner, but I have a feeling that the minute after I pay to have them spayed, they'll either get ran over by a car or eaten by coyotes.

I went outside at 1:00 in the morning to see the lunar eclipse and while I was out there I took a time-lapse photo of the stars. It's not perfect, but I was freezing and impatient :)
We attended Jonathan's family's annual branding.

Maggie took some photos of her own. She loves to bring "her" camera (aka my old camera) along any time I get my camera out.
The kids and I went to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point.

That pretty much sums it up in a nutshell.  Hopefully I have time to be a little more in depth next time :)
